if youre not bothered about a swimming pool read on. this hotel is spotless. the rooms are large with good sized balconies. the bathroom was large with a lovely shower and always plenty of hot water. rooms cleaned thoroughly every day, and fresh batch of towels daily too. proprietors are very friendly and helpful and sylvia at hand to act as interpreter.the situation is perfect, on a lovely thoroughfare, 50 metres one way to the beach and 50 metres the other to a spectacular park with sculptures, exotic planting and artisan /art units. this is a serene place to pass some time and within the park are the ancient remains of a roman fish salting factory. overlooking the park is the spectacular moorish castle. the town centre is an easy stroll away from the goya and you wont feel like going much further. this place is so restful and not like the overcrowded costas. we,re missing it already and will definitely be back. for those who prefer to travel around the area to visit such places as granada, regular and cheap bus services run centrally from almunecar on a regular basis. the goya is fantastic value for money and you even get a free tapas with every drink in almunecar. thaks goya, thanks almunecar
