I stayed 4 nights and it was lovely. Most staff were very kind and friendly except one. I'm a Gold Expedia member but didn't receive my upgrade at check in. The staff who checked me in was rude, arrogant and extremely unprofessional. I didn't get his name but he was of a chubby and feminine appearance. He acted like he was the Queen of the hotel. Rich, the front desk staff and most staff were excellent. Many of them greeted me by my name or sir, in a warm and welcoming manner. It was super unpleasant to deal with that chubby check in staff, particularly after a long tiring 30hr flight from Sydne to Manila via Singapore. I was exhausted and the last thing I need was to deal with a rude and unpleasant check in staff. I enjoyed the pool and gym a lot. Common areas and lobby are very nice and clean. TEHRE ARE A COUPLE OF ISSUES WITH THE ROOMS THOUGH. The aricon and carpet need changing or servicing. There's this damp, musty unpleasant smell come the aricon and carpet, and because I can't open the window, there's no access to fresh air. Waking up in the morning to a strange musty smell in the room is not a great way to start your day. Even after they have upgraded me to a better room the next day, the smell from the aircon and carpet is still there. I agree with other reviews about the unpleasant musty smell in the rooms. It's not healthy. I would only stay there again if they have fixed the smell from the aircon and carpet. My first room on level 10 also had sewer odour.
