Hotel was lovely. Staff very friendly. Used the public bath which was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast was a good combination of Asian and western so something for everyone. Annoying we had to pay extra for the children for breakfast despite clearly booking the room for four. Don't quite understand why adults got it free but not children. Good location, near the shops.

Fine hotel. Not that much floor spacing, but nevertheless fine since it will encourage you more to go out and explore Kyoto. Good breakfast. Coffeemachine was not working.... So that have been nice with a latte for breakfast. You have to pay extra for using the fitness - and you cannot have tattoos if you'd like to use the onsen. Which was kind of a bummer for me, since i booked this hotel because of the gym and onsen..

This hotel is truly awesome! The staff is extremely kind and the rooms are wonderful. Everything we needed was pretty close walking distance from the hotel, such as shopping, transport, and Nijo Castle was just down the street. Everything about this hotel was fantastic! If you are staying in the area I highly recommend staying here!

Good value hotel for the price. Very clean and good condition. The spa was quite small but very pleasant, same for the gym, but I enjoyed both a lot. Location is ok - decent amenities around it and I walked everywhere, but I imagine most people get taxis or public transport to main attractions. I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for a cheaper hotel with nice spa facilities!

The onsen was very nice and conveniently opened at 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM, before breakfast. The gym itself was well-equipped, however, the spacing in between the equipment was inadequate to accommodate working out normally. Most all else was very modern, extra clean, and spotless. I loved the room itself. The bed was great and comfortable. One point noticed was wall damage, in some spots. Hallways had a peculiar fragrance even though they cleaned and vacuumed everyday, more of like animal fur or something? A dog or dander? Odd.
