"My husband and I enjoyed our stay. St. Maarten overall is absolutely beautiful! It was truly a 10 out of 10 experience. We stayed at the Sonesta Ocean Point View - Adult Only, which was the best decision! It was more peaceful, the rooms were nicer & spacious, and we enjoyed the Adult Only restaurants. We loved that we had access to everything!! We definitely believe paying extra to be on the Adult-Only side is 100% worth it! The Staff members greeted us upon arrival, they gave us a welcome drink, we checked-in early for free, had no issues checking-in and checking-out, there were no additional fees besides the security deposit hold ($50 per night of stay and you get it back with no incidents / damage)! The amenities, food, drinks, and entertainment were also great! We highly recommend their Spa. The Ocean front couples massage and classic facial was a 10 out of 10 experience! The Spa Staff is amazing!!! Our only con was: Front desk staff & restaurant staff members energy level is kind of mid. They didn’t have high energy, smile, nor engage from time to time. I also highly recommend getting a private taxi driver before your trip, it made everything super smooth for us! Overall, we loved it and would go back! Thank you Expedia!"

"I was a little worried when I read some of the google reviews but, I worried for no reason. The staff were lovely, accommodating and helpful. The food was great. The buffet had a different theme each night so we had a lot of variety in what we ate. The pool area had good music and wasn’t overly crowded. The rooms were tidy- a bit of a musty smell but I’m sure that comes with a humid island. We opened the door for the warm breeze and problem solved. Taxi service is right out front. Car rental in the lobby. And a service to help you book any tour or adventure was set up downstairs. We had a great time! "

"Great stay. Sweeping views of the beach and mountains. Nicely furnished and comfortable. Included breakfast was good. Pool is nice. Walkable to restaurants and bars. First time to the island and found it to be over built and over touristed. Annoying traffic. This place was an oasis."

"The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I update them on activities I had planned and they told me the route or where they would rather recommend. They didn’t treat me as guests but rather as friends. People I knew from long time and we were reuniting. On my birthday I forgot her name but this amazing lady in charge of my room floor made me a drink , took pictures of me. Came to find out she was also a Leo. I really recommend this place. Anytime you can just walk up to the front desk and they drop everything to assist you."
