History of Fountains of Bellagio

They were designed by WET Design, known for creating many iconic fountains around the world, in conjunction with Steve Wynn. The fountains' role from their earliest days has been to attract visitors to the Bellagio. Although it has since been surpassed, this collection of fountains was once the world's largest and is set in an 8-acre artificial lake.
Bellagio is an Italian name that, when translated to English, means "a nice place to stay," and the hotel and fountains get their name from a resort town located on the Lake Como shores in Northern Italy. At its opening, the Bellagio attracted over 15,000 people.
